Oh No!

I hit a dog tonight on my way to the library. I didn't even see it coming until it was too late. I slammed on my brakes and it just stopped running and put down its head and absorbed the impact. Before I could even catch my breath it was running, very fast, away. I didn't hit it hard enough that my airbags deployed. I pulled over, there was no damage to my car, other than my licence plate and it's plastic holder. I am thankful for 3 very important things:

1. I didn't seem to do any damage to the dog
2. I didn't do any damage to my car
3. No one was behind me on this icy road when I had to brake hard

I was driving down Boise Ave at around 6:30pm tonight when I hit what looked like a gold colored pit bull. I feel awful about it. Please forgive me.

if the dog could run, and run fast I am sure you did not hurt the dog to badly. I am also glad the kids did not see the dog hurt by mommy. The roads are so bad right now it would be hard to stop in time for a running dog out in the street. Please be very careful it would be so easy to slip and slide out of control. I know your careful, just be extra careful on the roads as they are.

Yeah I think that the dog is fine if it ran off. Don't feel bad there is nothing you could have done and its a good thing you didn't slide further with how icy it's been. I'm glad your okay!!
