Check Out What I Did Yesterday!

I am totally ready for Christmas. I cleaned the house, did about 5 loads of laundry, cleaned out the game closet, and finished our stockings! GO ME! Tonight the kids get to open ONE gift. They are so excited. CJ keeps reminding me that we have to lay out our stockings so Santa can fill them with candy and toys. I remind her that we have to leave out cookies and milk.

Yahoooooo!

I decided that I didn't want to dig out our old ugly stockings. CJ went to Joann's yesterday picked out some yarn, and I got to work. I looked the pattern up online and thought I understood what to do. I was a little nervous about the heel part, but that was so so so easy! I started yesterday during nap time and finished this morning before breakfast! I have 3 more to do! If I do 1 a day I will be ready by Christmas Eve! Yay for Me!

Balloons

This original video was over 6 minutes long. I had to edit it down to fit onto blogger. What's really funny about this is, right after I turned off the camera CJ popped her balloon.

This video was taken the day after CJ's party. These are partially deflated balloons leftover. I never knew dying balloons were so much fun.

What Have I Done?

I've introduced my children to Hot Cocoa, Hot Chocolate, whatever you want to call it, they love it!
I love tacos. The corn tortilla, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, onion, peppers, avocado, oh so yummy. Is there anything better than a plate full of tacos?

Oh No!

I hit a dog tonight on my way to the library. I didn't even see it coming until it was too late. I slammed on my brakes and it just stopped running and put down its head and absorbed the impact. Before I could even catch my breath it was running, very fast, away. I didn't hit it hard enough that my airbags deployed. I pulled over, there was no damage to my car, other than my licence plate and it's plastic holder. I am thankful for 3 very important things:

1. I didn't seem to do any damage to the dog
2. I didn't do any damage to my car
3. No one was behind me on this icy road when I had to brake hard

I was driving down Boise Ave at around 6:30pm tonight when I hit what looked like a gold colored pit bull. I feel awful about it. Please forgive me.

This Is What Happens When

I tell my children, "go play with your toys or read your books I need to sweep and mop our filthy floors"

Wow, Who Saw This Coming?

I was making dinner last night when I noticed a hush fall over my house. My first thought was "oh no", I went to investigate and what did I find? My two sweeties quietly reading!

BRIAN!!!

Library Night

Monday and Tuesday night is Library Night (as long as CJ and Brian eat their dinner). After dinner we loaded our very cold selves into the car and made the trek down there. CJ and Brian had the luck of being the only kids that had a parent silly enough to drive on icy roads for story time. They had their very own private story time! The picture is so crummy because I took it with my phone. Who knew I needed the camera at the Library? The kids felt very special that they had their very own story time. During the video part Brian snuggled with the Librarian and tried to flirt.

Snap, Crackle and Pop

Brian has a new breakfast favorite!! I don't have to make eggs every morning!!!! Brian loves Rice Krispies. Yesterday morning he ate 3 bowls. I had to bribe him away from asking for more with snow play! This morning he had 4 bowls. I convinced him we were out, I took the plastic bag out of the box and then showing him the empty box. I'm afraid he would eat a whole box it I let him.

Finally!

Yesterday we woke up to enough snow to actually play in! So after breakfast, and an hour (ok not an hour, but it felt like it!) of getting coats, boots, hats, and mittens on, we went outside to play!!

Stupid Weather!

You know who is a big fat liar? Every weather person in the valley and www.weather.com. We were supposed to wake up to snow, we woke up to wet and dreary instead. CJ and Brian were looking forward to the snow!

mmmmmmmmm

This afternoon I woke up from nap time with a little tummy ache. I didn't feel like cooking so the kids and I went to the grocery store to get some chicken from the deli (8 pc. dark for only $4.99!!) I knew I didn't want chicken. I wanted something soft and sweet. I picked up some cottage cheese, close, I wanted it, but not sweet enough. Then I found it...
I haven't had chocolate pudding in so long. I don't think the kids have ever had chocolate pudding before. So it was a nice bribe to get them to eat their fruit and veggies at dinner!

Brian wasn't as impressed as CJ. CJ and I finished the pudding he didn't eat.

Decorated Christmas Tree

CJ and Brian decorating, and not shoving each other out of the way!! :)

CJ has put her ornaments all in a row

"Only 1 more picture, MOM!!"

All Done!!

We bought our tree on Sunday. We decorated in phases. Phase one: lights, phase two: ribbon, phase three: top third ornaments, phase four: release the kids! Whew! What hard work. This was the brightest tree I've ever done. The lights are neon, the ribbon is hot pink, and the ornaments are multicolored bright colors. Our trees have always been white lights, white ribbon and 2 colors of corrdinating ornaments. This tree is a big change for out little family. A very bright change!

Sword Fighting

This morning Brian and I had a sword fight with empty wrapping paper rolls. It was awesome. I didn't get my picture because I was too busy defending myself to take pictures. I think Brian imagined more of a light saber than a sword. He kept making light saber type sound effects instead of the swish swish of a sword. He is a clever little boy. I poked him with my sword, he said "ow, that hurt me." I pointed my sword down and went to apologize to him and he said "just kiddin'" and hit me with his sword. Dang that little trickster.

I'm So Proud!!

My Mom created a blog! She did it almost all by herself!! www.nunnfamilyfun.blogspot.com check it out!

CJ's 4 yr. Check Up

On Monday CJ had her 4 year check up. She is doing awesome and her asthma is under control!! Her weight was 37 1/2 pounds and she was 40 3/4 inches tall. She is in the 60% in both areas! She's a least balanced. I really love the kids Dr. She is so understanding and gentle, I'm thankful we found her.

Park

CJ and Brian rolling down the hill together
While yesterday was cold, it was still really sunny. The kids and I couldn't resist the sun, and we went to the park after school. CJ, of course, took her camera. (To see her photos go to http://www.cjsfotos.blogspot.com/) We stayed about 45 minutes. We swung, slid, rolled, and ran until we were ready for dinner. At one point CJ had to go pee. The bathrooms have been locked for the season. We had only been there for about 15 minutes, so I took her over to a hidden corner by the trash can and she had to pee camping style. I laughed about half way through I thought of her Fourth Of July debacle. I hope I haven't caused her to start peeing in public whenever she wants again. We finally just broke her of that.

CJ's Birthday Party

Saturday we had CJ's Birthday party at POJO's. For those of you who don't know, POJO's is similar to Chuck E Cheese. We played a million games, rode the rides (except the bumper cars), had cake and ice cream, and watched CJ open gifts. Fun was had by all. CJ received several Barbies, a few games, and Mommy and Daddy gave her a camera. Now hopefully she will leave mine alone! She has a Fuji 6mp camera with 1g memory, and a zebra striped lanyard. She couldn't be happier!
