Dentist

Monday was CJ and Brian's biannual cleaning and check up. They both were awesome! They were cooperative with the dental assistant for the cleaning, very, very still for the x-rays, and super extra good for their exam with Dr. Higer! Their teeth all look healthy and their adult teeth all look good. With an exception of crowding on both their lower jaws. We have orthodontics to look forward to in our future. What lucky parents we are!

Discovery Center

Saturday we went to the Discovery Center with Julie, Sage, Gabe, and Harely. Here's a few pics.

Finally!

Someone is finally making a decision about the eyesore that is The Boise Hole!!! This article is from http://www.idahostatesman.com/

Bankruptcy judge orders crater at 8th and Main to be sold at auction
It's been more than 10 years since plans began for a high-rise tower at the corner of 8th and Main Streets in Boise were launched. Now a federal bankruptcy judge has ordered the property, infamous hole and all, to be auctioned next month.
After years of financial troubles, including a failure to reorganize after a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing last summer, the Boise Place property is set to be auctioned on April 7, said Phil Kushlan, executive director of the Capital City Development Corp., Boise's urban-renewal agency.
Robert Capps Homes, a Lake Tahoe, Calif., development company, holds a lien on the property. Capps is owed more than $2.57 million by developer Gary D. Rogers' company, Charterhouse Boise Downtown Properties. Capps bought the original $2.57 million loan from Alpha Lending LLC in Boise.
Alpha had financed Charterhouse's acquisition of the old Boise Tower site from former developer Rick Peterson. Rogers hoped to replace Peterson's never-built Boise Tower with a new project he called Boise Place. But Rogers' plans went nowhere either. Charterhouse filed for bankruptcy in 2007 after Alpha started foreclosure proceedings when Charterhouse defaulted on the loan.

Movie Night

Tonight was movie night. We picked out Bolt. CJ and Brian had drug out blankets and a body pillow to relax on. I popped popcorn for CJ and Brian and steamed some edamame for me. We settled in for a great movie! CJ and Brian totally loved the movie, and they are a little picky about what they will sit down for longer than a half hour. My favorite was Rhino. He totally steals the movie. I did get a little lump in my throat during the fire rescue scene. Brian asked me if I was ok. He's so sweet, always looking out for Mommy.

Oh Yeah! That's Right!

See that smile? That's a smile of a boy who has learned how to buckle himself into his car seat. He still hasn't learned how to get out.

Healthy Chicken Nuggets?

I made the yummiest chicken nuggets tonight! Check out our food blog for the recipe(http://dinneronmymind.blogspot.com/2009/03/healthy-nuggets.html)! Brian watched me make dinner so he was suspicious of them at first, until I forced the first bite. After the first bite showdown Brian was the first to finish dinner! CJ was a little slower, but she liked them! I got them to eat cauliflower and peas without a fight. Then we had totally unhealthy chocolate chip cookies for dinner! ;0)

Allergy Test

CJ had her allergy test this afternoon. She didn't have the needles (thank goodness) they did what the tech called the scratch test. The tech (Sonja) said that CJ was a fantastic little patient. She said most kids jerk their arms around after the first scratch, CJ was perfectly still. I was a little shocked myself. They tested for 32 allergens. CJ was positive for only 2!!! That's right TWO! Cats and Dogs. Sonja said they rate the severity of the reaction on a scale of +1 to +4. CJ was a +4 for cats (big shocker, right?) and a +1 for dogs. So to sum up, CJ is EXTREMELY allergic to cats, and only mildly allergic to dogs, and nothing else! I am so happy that we finally know what she is and is not allergic to! No more guessing!

A Jumpin' Good Time

We spent the morning at Fun N Fit Inflatables (http://www.funnfitinflatables.com/). I didn't get many good pictures, my kids were too fast. There were several bounce houses set up as well as indoor soccer goals and balls everywhere. So it was slightly crazy, considering it is also Spring Break.
